Acupuncture
Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and supported by growing modern medical research, acupuncture involves the gentle insertion of ultra-fine, sterile needles into specific points on the body. This process stimulates the nervous system, promotes healthy blood circulation, and triggers the release of the body’s natural pain-relieving and mood-boosting chemicals.
Meg Lucas Lic.Ac. MBAcC – Acupuncturist
A licensed Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncturist, Meg takes a warm, intuitive and collaborative approach, looking at the whole picture to understand the individual and the wider factors contributing to how they feel. She has a particular interest in women's health across the life stages, but works with all bodies to support concerns including stress, sleep, pain, headaches and general wellbeing. Meg trained at the City College of Acupuncture completing over 400 hours of clinical practice and obtaining a first-class, degree-level Licentiate.
She has also completed postgraduate training in cosmetic acupuncture, acupuncture for fertility and IVF and acupuncture for pregnancy and postpartum. Alongside acupuncture, Meg uses additional techniques such as electroacupuncture, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion and ear seeds where appropriate.
Evidence-informed practice, safety and professional standards sit at the heart of her work. Meg is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and currently the only Acupuncture Fertility Network member in Suffolk and Norfolk.
